After a long career of igniting a passion for learning in young people, Reed decided she wanted to combine the two things she's most passionate about: education and family.
She founded Brain Hurricane in 2001 with her two oldest children, Paige and Andrew. Her youngest son TJ helped found Brain Hurricane during those early years, and joined full time shortly after graduating from college.
Reed and her kids founded Brain Hurricane with the mission to provide engaging learning opportunities to students that normally don't receive them.This is a mission that Reed has been engaged in her whole professional life, and one that Brain Hurricane (and now Wowzers) continues to promote.
